Dominic Frongillo

Dominic Frongillo is an international educator, advocate and campaigner. In 2005, Dominic at age 22 became the youngest person ever elected to serve in his hometown of Caroline, New York where he implemented innovative environmental programs. In 2012, Frongillo founded Elected Officials to Protect New York, a successful bipartisan campaign of over 850 elected officials across the state that helped win New York's statewide ban on fracking. Internationally recognized for his work in climate change and clean energy, author of On Point: Voices and Values of the Young Elected Officials Jeff Thigpen named Frongillo one of America’s 16 most notable young elected leaders. He was trained by former Vice President Al Gore as a Climate Reality Project Presenter and has served as a five-time delegate to the United Nations including several UN climate negotiations. Frongillo has trained candidates for office and speaks internationally on topics of climate change, sustainability, and social movements.

Julia Walsh

Julia Walsh is a community organizer, motivational speaker and political strategist who has worked on progressive issues and campaigns since 2001. In 2003, Julia was elected to serve on the Village Board of New Paltz, New York. During her time in office, she was instrumental in passing environmental legislation and organizing New Paltz’s high-profile, politically charged same-sex marriages in February 2004 that earned national media attention and helped pave the way for New York State to legalize same-sex marriage. In 2010, Julia started Frack Action and Elected Officials to Protect New York in response to the immediate threat that fracking posed to New York State. These organizations played a pivotal role in New York State’s 2015 ban on fracking. For over a decade, Julia has been an advocate and NGO Representative to the United Nations on behalf of environmental, children’s rights and indigenous rights organizations.
